What is AI Academy?
Course Hero’s AI Academy is a four-week professional development course aimed at supporting both higher education and K-12 faculty in leveraging AI technologies in their classrooms.
Participants who complete the program and the final assignment will gain 10 continuing education units (CEUs) and a Certification in Teaching with AI.
Is prior knowledge of AI required to join the course?
No, AI Academy is designed for participants with varying levels of AI expertise. The courses are designed primarily for beginners and those who are curious about using AI in their teaching, but those with more advanced knowledge will also benefit from the discussions and reflection activities.
Will I receive CEU credits or a certificate of completion?
Yes, upon completion of the course, you will receive 10 CEUs and a Certification in Teaching with AI.
How long is the course?
The program lasts four weeks, from October 2–27, 2023.
How can I access the course?
To access the course, first enroll on this page. The program will begin on Monday, October 2, 2023 and run through Friday, October 27.
Upon enrolling, all registrants will receive an email with instructions to join the learning platform, Yellowdig, one week prior to the program start date. If you do not get your confirmation email, please reach out to educators@coursehero.com.

Who qualifies to enroll in AI Academy?
Enrollment is open for all, though course content will be most relevant to higher education faculty, high school teachers, instructional designers, graduate students, and administrators.
Approximately how much of a time commitment is expected for each week?
You should expect to invest approximately 10 hours of learning time each week. This includes two optional synchronous sessions as well as readings, responding to questions and discussion posts, and assignment completion.
How will the course be delivered?
The course will be delivered asynchronously via the online platform Yellowdig. You will have an option to attend two live sessions: weekly office hours with the instructors and special guest speaker sessions via Zoom.

Will the program be recorded and available on-demand?
The program is only available to participants during the course dates (October 2–27, 2023). Select resources will be available on-demand after the completion of the program. You will not have the ability to purchase access to the course on-demand, given that a big part of the course is interacting with other participants and the instructors via the course platform.
Can I get a refund if I decide not to continue with the program?
The latest date to request a full refund is September 29, 2023. Once the program begins, no refunds will be issued. No partial refunds are available.
Is financial assistance available for participants?
We encourage faculty to request development funds from their institutions or their district and are happy to provide supporting documentation for you if needed. If you are unable to secure professional development funds and cannot afford the program on your own but still wish to enroll, please contact us at educators@coursehero.com and include “AI Academy” in the subject line.
