Curriculum
Course Hero’s AI Academy equips participants with the tools and skills necessary to respond critically and ethically to generative AI within educational and professional settings.
This virtual, 3-week professional learning experience pairs asynchronous, participant-driven discussions with live guest presentations and weekly live community hours where participants discuss questions, challenges, and new ideas as a group.
This online, self-paced course will take place between October 14 – November 1, 2024.
This is a highly collaborative and community-based course, so please join in as much as you are able throughout the week: write posts, read posts, upload new resources, send videos and audio, link to useful sites online, and more.
Participants build upon each other’s work when we write together, brainstorm, find solutions for each other, draft from the innovations of our community, and rely on each other. So, participation in this course is really important.
Here are the main components of the course:
Participants who complete the certificate program will:
Each Tuesday at 12 pm ET, a guest speaker who has expertise within a specific area of AI will share their thoughts and ideas in a live, synchronous Zoom presentation. Sessions will be recorded for later viewing.
There will be weekly overviews, along with readings, viewings, questions, and provocations to get you started. You’ll share your own questions, resources, and curiosities in your posts. These activities are voluntary and not graded.
Community Agreements
Each week we’ll have a live synchronous community conversation via Zoom. These sessions will be driven by your questions, so please come with your thoughts, ideas, observations, and concerns from the week.
These gatherings are not required for completion of the course, but will provide an opportunity for us to learn together in the moment, to meet one another, and to raise important questions.
You can choose to attend between two times each week: Wednesdays at 6 pm or Fridays at 12 pm Eastern time.
